Connie Greener said the best way to catch carp is with a net — not a fishing line.

And she should know.

She and her former husband Nephi Grasteit would catch around 4,000 pounds of carp on Lake Lowell in the 1950s with the Cascade Fishing Company — on a good day — and drive them to Los Angeles to sell at the market.
